Bayern ease to win

BAYERN MUNICH moved level on points with Werder Bremen and Stuttgart at the top of the table with a 2-0 win at Hamburg.

Hamburg came into the game with just a solitary point from three games to their name, and they failed to improve on their record against the reigning champions.

Peruvian striker Claudio Pizarro did the early damage with the opener on 14 minutes and Bayern took control in the second half following the dismissal of Collin Benjamin.

With Hamburg down to ten men, Brazilian marksman Giovane Elber took full advantage of fine approach work from Michael Ballack to seal victory for Bayern.
