Felix Magath has launched a surprise verbal attack on striker Claudio Pizarro.Bayern Munich coach Felix Magath has launched a surprise verbal attack on striker Claudio Pizarro.
The outburst comes despite seeing the Peruvian forward scoring in Bayern's 3-1 home win over Kaiserslautern which sent the Bavarian giants top of Die Bundesliga again for the first time in 18 months.
Magath feels that the forward has so far not lived up to the high expectations in Munich since joining the club from Werder Bremen in 2001.
"Claudio is satisfied too easily," said the former Stuttgart coach.
"He is a player who wants to enjoy himself, he wants to have fun every day and although he gives us great pleasure, he has to work harder in order to make the best out of his enormous talent."
Pizarro's goal cancelled out Thomas Riedl's opener on Saturday before Torsten Frings and substitute Paulo Guerrero gave the hosts the points ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Although Pizarro has so far successfully cemented his status as number two striker behind Roy Makaay, he has come under pressure from Gonzales Guerrero, who has been on target in all his four substitute appearances.
