Uli Hoeness has confirmed Bayern Munich will not be making any winter signings.
Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has reiterated the fact that the German champions will not be active in the transfer market this winter.
Speaking following the Bavarian giants' disastrous home defeat to Bundesliga bottom club Hannover on Wednesday, Hoeness expressed his confidence that Bayern's squad was capable of holding their own in this 'development year'.
"We will not be looking for new faces during the winter break," he stressed.
"We have got six or seven players out injured. If they were all fit nobody would ever think about saying we needed to strengthen our squad."
German international midfielder Sebastian Deisler, England's Owen Hargreaves and Brazilian defender Lucio are all expected to return to action in the near future, giving Bayern coach Felix Magath a hope of extra options.
Bayern have lost four of their 11 Bundesliga matches so far this season - their worst start to a domestic season for 32 years - and are currently six points behind leaders Werder Bremen.
