Bayern Munich have been dumped out of the German Cup by Alemannia Aachen.
Alemannia Aachen, Kickers Offenbach, Wolfsburg and Hannover have all progressed into the quarter-finals of the German Cup.
The shock of the day was Bayern Munich's surprise exit at the hands of unfancied Alemannia Aachen.
The Bundesliga champions fought all the way, but were all but out of sight at the interval having slipped 3-0 down.
A brace from Laurentin Reghecampf put the home side in control with Marius Ebbers putting Aachen in dreamland.
Germany international Lukas Podolski pulled one back after the interval with Mark van Bommel reducing the arrears further.
However, Jan Schlaudraff's late fourth ensured safe passage as Bayern were left contemplating a surprise 4-2 defeat.
Wolfsburg eased past Greuther Furth with goals from Jacek Krzynowek and Diego Klimowicz firing them into a two-goal lead.
Stefan Reisinger did pull one back, although Greuther's hopes of a comeback were dashed by Rick Hoogendorp's third for Wolfsburg.
Kickers Offenbach left it late before securing 2-1 win over Burghausen, in the evening's only non-Bundesliga tie.
Thorsten Burkhardt cancelled out Suat Turker's opener, but Dino Toppmoller, son of ex-Leverkusen boss Klaus, snatched the winner in injury-time.
Hannover ensured there would be no upset against Duisburg with Hanno Balitsch's effort enough to see off the lower league opposition.
Full German Cup results:
