Bayern have lodged an appeal against Oliver Kahn's Champions League ban.
Bayern Munich have lodged an appeal against Oliver Kahn's one-match UEFA Champions League ban.
The veteran goalkeeper was suspended for the quarter-final first leg against Milan after being found guilty of improper conduct for losing his temper during a doping control in the last round.
Bayern will now bring the case back to the Uefa Disciplinary Committee, but boss Ottmar Hitzfeld claims that, whatever the result, he has every faith in Kahn's understudy, 22-year-old Michael Rensing.
"I wouldn't have any problems bringing him in," he told the German press. "He's an excellent goalkeeper who has already played in several big games."
