Ivica Olic has rued his penalty miss as his last game for Bayern Munich ended in defeat in the UEFA Champions League final.
The Croatian striker came on as a 97th minute substitute for Franck Ribery and wasted a golden chance in the second period of extra-time before his spot-kick in the shoot-out was saved by Petr Cech.
Bastian Schweinsteiger's spot-kick was then tipped on to the post by Cech as Chelsea emerged 4-3 winners and Olic, who has been at Bayern since 2009 but will join Wolfsburg on a two-year contract, was disappointed that his last game for the club ended in defeat.
He told Sportske Novosti. "I didn't want to take a penalty, but had no other choice.
"At the end I had to step forward as none of my team-mates wanted to take the responsibility.
"Toni Kroos said no, Anatoliy Tymoschuk also declined. I was brave enough, but sadly Cech guessed in which corner I would shoot.
"My shot wasn't that bad, but Cech was great.
"I'm so sad. I didn't want to leave Bayern like that. I wanted to win the Champions League. I will never forget this sad night."
