Luis Suarez scored a late winner as a below-par Barcelona came from behind to claim a hard-fought 2-1 Champions League win over Bayer Leverkusen at the Camp Nou on Tuesday night.

It appeared the European champions would struggle to cope without the injured Lionel Messi as Kyriakos Papadopoulos' first-half header gave the Bundesliga side a deserved half-time lead.

Things then went from bad to worse for Barca when they lost Andres Iniesta to a suspected hamstring injury on the hour mark.

The hosts toiled in front of goal to no avail until substitute Sergi Roberto tapped home a rebound 10 minutes from time, after Munir El Haddadi's deflected effort was parried by Leverkusen 'keeper Bernd Leno.
