Speaking to the Cologne newspaper Express, the Brazilian World Cup winner said that he had a job for life with Bayer.
"Reiner Calmund (Bayer executive) told me I can stay as long as I like and then be given a job on the coaching staff after the end of my active career," said Lucio.
The in-demand 25-year-old stopper has remained loyal to Leverkusen despite several offers from top clubs abroad, but he admits that he is not yet certain what he will do when his current contract expires next summer.
"I will only leave Bayer if my family are in agreement.
"I can imagine staying here for a while yet though."
