Bayer Leverkusen's Gonzalo Castro will be out for four weeks.
Bayer Leverkusen suffered a blow ahead of their first game in Group B of the Uefa Cup with the news that promising youngster Gonzalo Castro will be out for four weeks.
Michael Skibbe's team must travel to Belgian outfit FC Brugge on Thursday, but the coach will not be able to rely on the services of the Under-21 international, who injured his shoulder during his side's 3-0 Bundesliga defeat at Stuttgart.
The Leverkusen doctors told the defensive midfielder that he was fortunate not to have broken his collarbone, but informed him to rest for one month.
The 2002 Champions League finalists are facing a tough test in Group B, which is completed by Premier League outfit Tottenham, Turkish giants Besiktas and Dinamo Bucharest from Romania.
