Bayer Leverkusen have completed the signing of Vladlen Yurchenko from Shakhtar Donetsk on a two-year contract.
The 20-year-old Ukraine Under-21 midfielder joins the Bundesliga outfit, who finished fourth last season, until June 30, 2016, and the club have the option to extend the contract.
Bayer sporting director Rudi Voller was delighted to announce the news of Yurchenko's move from the Ukrainian champions to the BayArena.
He told his club's official website: "In Vladlen Yurchenko we have signed another talented player ready to take the next big step in his career.
"This transfer fits in perfectly with our philosophy of giving promising young players the chance to show what they can do at the top of the game perhaps earlier than other clubs."
Leverkusen return to training on Monday morning, which will be led by new coach Roger Schmidt, and will see new signings including Brazilian left-back Wendell, on-loan Roma defender Tin Jedvaj and new goalkeeper Dario Kresic, who signed from Mainz.
Schmidt's men kick off their Bundesliga campaign in August with a tough assignment away to last season's runners-up Borussia Dortmund.
