Ashkan Dejagah will leave Hertha Berlin and join Wolfsburg in the summer.
German Under 21 international Ashkan Dejagah has turned down the chance to extend his contract with Hertha Berlin and will seal a summer move to league rivals Wolfsburg.
The Wolves confirmed that the 20-year-old attacking midfielder - who can also star up front - will commit himself to the club until 2010 come June.
"We closely followed his career and we are happy that we could capture such a young player. He will have a very promising career," declared Wolfsburg's director of sport Klaus Fuchs.
Dejagah is already the second German Under 21 international to leave Hertha for Wolfsburg in the last 12 months after defender Alexander Madlung linked up with The Wolves last season and even won his first full cap for Joachim Low's team during his spell at the Volkswagen-Arena.
According to media reports, both Nurnberg and Dortmund were also interested in the promising forward.
