Hertha Berlin winger Bart Goor is locked in talks with Feyenoord over a prospective switch to Rotterdam.
The Belgium international, who scored the first goal in Euro 2000, is keen to move closer to his homeland.
Coach Ruud Gullit is interested in bringing the 31-year-old, who has won 56 caps for his country, to De Kuip.
Feyenoord have confirmed the news on their official website and seem confident of landing Goor, even though they have still to reach a financial agreement with Hertha.
Goor, who is out of contract next year, is wanted to bolster Feyenoord's squad because they will be missing four players due to the Olympic Games in Athens.
