Hertha Berlin have given contract extensions to two of their up-and-coming players.
Hertha Berlin general manager Dieter Hoeness has announced that the club have given contract extensions to two of their up-and-coming youngsters.
Defenders Malik Fathi and Christopher Samba have both been given two-year deals keeping them at the Olympiastadion until June 2008.
German Under-21 left back Fathi has been a regular in coach Falko Gotz's first team this season while 22-year-old Frenchman Samba has established himself as a valuable squad member.
The financially stricken Bundesliga club are also hoping to negotiate new deals for Croatian international defender Josip Simunic and midfielder Oliver Schroder in the coming weeks.
