Skipper Kobiashvili sticks up for manager's methods

Hertha Berlin captain Levan Kobiashvili has dismissed reports of dressing room unrest towards manager Otto Rehhagel. The 73-year-old has only managed the relegation-threatened club for four Bundesliga matches since taking over in the wake of Markus Babbel's controversial departure. Former Greece coach Rehhagel, who won Euro 2004, has a wealth of experience, but it has been suggested some of his methods are dated after losing three of his games in charge. Reports have been circulating of particular discontent among Hertha's players at Rehhagel handing the responsibility of taking first-team training to his assistants. But Kobiashvili has denied this, as he told Sportinformationsdienst: "There are no problems. There are no troubles with Otto Rehhagel. "Otto Rehhagel is heavily involved in regular training and he is also giving us clear statements in the dressing room. "When Markus Babbel was manager of this club, he also sometimes handed training sessions to his assistant manager, Rainer Widmayer. This is pretty usual."
