Hamburg remain in title hunt

Hamburg moved into third spot in the table on Sunday, while Borussia Dortmund were held at home. Hamburg are now just one point behind league leaders Hertha Berlin after they claimed a comfortable 2-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld. Piotr Trochowski fired them ahead after 32 minutes, with his fine free-kick finding the top corner. Paolo Guerrero then wrapped up the points when he doubled that advantage on the hour mark. Hamburg have now won four of their last five league games, while Arminia remain in trouble just one point above the relegation zone. Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund had to settle for a 1-1 draw in their clash with Energie Cottbus. Cagdas Atan gave the visitors a shock lead after 31 minutes when he fired home from close range. However, the centre-half went from hero to villain just five minuets later when he felled Sebastian Kehl in the box. Swiss striker Alexander Frei then stepped up to despatch the resulting penalty. Lee Young-pyo was dismissed for the hosts deep into injury time, but both teams had settled for a point by that stage. Dortmund remain in the European hunt on the back of a frustrating result, while only goal difference is keeping Cottbus inside the bottom three.
