Bundesliga side Hannover 96 have fined Austrian international striker Roman Wallner for misconduct.
Wallner, 22, hit the headlines in the German national press after having his driving licence confiscated for drink driving and later insulting an air stewardess before a flight to Vienna.
Hannover general manager Ilja Kaenzig confirmed Wallner had been disciplined, saying: "He knows he has been incredibly stupid, but we simply cannot allow him to make the headlines for four days without their being any footballing reason."
He added that the player, who joined from Rapid Vienna in the summer, would receive a fine for his actions.
