Hannover have boosted their squad with the capture of Danish Under-21 international Jonas Troest.
The 20-year-old Silkeborg IF player arrives at the AWD Arena after both clubs agreed a deal of around é¼150,000 (£100,000) at the weekend.
Troest has signed a contract until 2009 and looks set to be groomed as a replacement for German international star Per Mertesacker, who is expected to quit The Reds at the end of the season.
Mertesacker's proposed destination is currently unknown, but the likes of Werder Bremen and Italian side Internazionale are believed to be interested in signing the player.
