Chile star has set his mind on move to Bayern, says former boss

Manager Jupp Heynckes is confident Bayer Leverkusen star Arturo Vidal will follow him to Bayern Munich either this summer or in 12 months' time. The Chile midfielder has just one year left on his contract and is reported to be a target of Arsenal and Inter Milan. But Bayern have long been considered favourites for the 25-year-old and Heynckes, who left Leverkusen to return to Bayern at the end of last season, thinks it is only a matter of time before Vidal makes a similar move. Heynckes told BILD: "It's not very clever to keep hold of a player that definitely wants to move on, although he has a year left on his deal. History has proved that." He added: "Arturo has insisted to me he is keen on joining Bayern Munich. If it does not work out this summer, it will go through next summer on a Bosman." Meanwhile, Germany goalkeeping coach Andreas Kopke is advising Rene Adler to agree a new deal at Bayer Leverkusen and ignore a possible move abroad. Kopke told BILD: "I strongly advise Rene to remain in the Bundesliga. "Playing in the Bundesliga will ensure he is safe as houses and he will always be paid his money."
