Wolfsburg's Martin Petrov will be out for the next four weeks with a hamstring injury.
Ambitious Bundesliga side Wolfsburg have received a serious blow at the start of the new season that in-form winger Martin Petrov will be out for the next four weeks due to a hamstring injury.
The Bulgarian, who signed in 2001 from Servette Geneve, has made an impact for both club and country whilst in the Bundesliga with over 100 appearances respectively for the Wolves.
The talented 25-year-old Bulgarian international limped off in Sunday's home game against Freiburg.
Without the pacy winger the Wolves suffered a surprise defeat which cancelled out their season opener, leaving them eighth after an impressive 2-1 away win over Borussia Dortmund.
The injury means that Petrov will not be able to star for his country in Wednesday's trip to Dublin, where they will face Republic of Ireland.
