Cologne have secured the services of Timo Achenbach and Albert Streit.Freshly-promoted Bundesliga side Cologne have secured the services of Timo Achenbach and Albert Streit.
The duo had been on loan at Cologne during the past season and they have now been handed permanent contracts at the Rhein-Energy Stadium.
The players were vital in helping the three-times German champions to restore their Bundesliga status and coach Uwe Rapolder will be pleased to keep the duo as his side prepare to battle for survival next season.
Achenbach, a 22-year-old left-sided midfielder, had terminated his contract with Borussia Dortmund and therefore joined the Goats on a free transfer, committing himself to Rapolder's team until 2006.
Fellow midfielder Streit has meanwhile signed a deal until 2007 after the Goats signed the 25-year-old from VFL Wolfsburg for an undisclosed fee, believed to be worth around é¼500,000.
