Steve Marlet looks set to ignore the advances of Besiktas and former boss Jean Tigana to remain at Wolfsburg.
Marlet has failed to impress at the Volkswagen-Arena since his summer transfer from Fulham and reports in the Turkish press claimed that Tigana is keen to lure his compatriot to the struggling Istanbul giants.
However, Wolfsburg's managing director Klaus Fuchs revealed that the Turks had yet to make an official bid and revealed that, in any event, The Wolves would be unwilling to let the Frenchman leave during the January transfer window.
"There's no intention from our side to let him go now," declared Fuchs.
Fuchs also confirmed that new coach Klaus Augenthaler is keen to run the rule over Marlet before making a decision on the player's future.
