Slovakia skipper Miroslav Karhan has stressed that he is determined to leave Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg next summer.
The 30-year-old midfielder had been overlooked by coach Klaus Augenthaler for large parts of the season and despite returning to the starting XI in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Hertha Berlin, Karhan wants to leave the Volkswagen-Arena when his contract expires in June.
"I believe that I have impressed with my strong showing during our training camp and I hope that I will be given the chance to play regularly in the next weeks," said Karhan, who joined the Wolves in 2001 from Turkish giants Besiktas.
"However, I did say that there's a 99 per cent chance that my time here is over and this remains to be the case."
In the meantime, Rick Hoogendorp looks likely to leave Wolfsburg before the end of the transfer window this week, with his former club ADO Den Haag interested in bringing him back to the Netherlands.
