Hoogendorp happy with move

Rick Hoogendorp is loooking forward to helping ADO Den Haag this term.

Wolfsburg's Dutch striker Rick Hoogendorp will spend the next 16 months on loan with ADO Den Haag after failing to settle at the Bundesliga outfit.

The 32-year-old, who started his career with ADO, joined the Wolves in January 2006 in a ‚é¼1.7million (£1.1million) deal from RKC Waalwijk, but struggled to break into Klaus Augenthaler's starting formation given competition from the likes of Germany international Mike Hanke and Argentinian Diego Klimowicz.

Hoogendorp has now decided to return to his former team and is looking forward to the challenge.

"My return to ADO Den Haag feels like coming home," Hoogendorp told ADO's website. "So I hope in this familiar environment I can help in the battle for staying in the Eredivisie.

"It's important for the club and me to play at the highest level next season in the new stadium."
