Ahmed Madouni has become the latest long-term injury casualty for Borussia Dortmund.
The Schwarz-Gelben's joy at their first away win since December 2002 at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday was tempered by the news that the French centre back has damaged ankle ligaments and will be out of action for up to six weeks.
BVB coach Matthias Sammer now has 12 first team squad players on the injury list as his charges struggle to keep pace at the top of Die Bundesliga.
The news of Madouni's injury comes as a bitter blow ahead of Wednesday's crucial Uefa Cup second leg match at home to Austria Vienna.
