Dortmund keeper Roman Weidenfeller has signed a three-year extension.Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller has signed a three-year extension to his current contract at the Westfalenstadion.
The 24-year-old former Kaiserslautern custodian replaced French rival Guillaume Warmuz between the posts during last season and played a crucial role in the Schwarz-Gelben's meteoric rise up the Bundesliga after Christmas.
Weidenfeller has now put pen-to-paper on a new deal keeping him at BVB until June 2009.
The club will be hoping that his decision will set a trend within the squad with negotiations with other key players such as Jan Koller, Sebastian Kehl and Christian Worns about to begin.
