German international Sebastian Kehl's injury nightmare looks set to continue after the defensive midfielder was forced to pull out of his first training session with his team.
A knee problem has meant that the 25-year-old Dortmund star has already missed a large part of the new Bundesliga season.
He was hopeful of re-joining his team-mates in the squad to face Borussia Monchengladbach when he suffered the setback.
BVB coach Bert Van Marwijk declared: "He looks set to miss another two weeks," after the player reported a heavy pain in his left knee.
