Arminia Bielefeld goalkeeper Dennis Eilhoff has signed a new contract which will keep him at the club until 2011.
Eilhoff returned to Arminia after a successful two-year loan spell with Bundesliga 2 side Tus Koblenz at the beginning of the season.
Since then, the German stopper has produced a string of outstanding performances urging the Bundesliga side to secure his services with a renewed contract.
Fending off interest from league rivals Cologne, Bielefeld agreed a deal with Eilhoff, tying him into the club for an additional two years.
"I am convinced I have a bright future at Arminia," said Eilhoff.
"I look forward to two more years with Bielefeld and I believe we will be successful."
Bielefeld manager Michael Frontzeck expressed his delight in securing the deal, saying: "He has been chased by financially stronger clubs, but money is not everything in life.
"He has made strong progress and is the second player alongside Artur Wichniarek to sign an extension with us.
"I am delighted we could keep both players, it is a sign that the players are passionate about Arminia."
