Borussia Monchengladbach striker Giovane Elber has hailed his side's supporters after making a belated return to the first team.
Elber made his first appearance in three months on Sunday in The Foals' goalless draw against Hamburg and received a rapturous reception from the stands.
The former Bayern Munich front-man signed from Lyon last January but a catalogue of injuries have put pay to the 33-year-old's chances of making a significant impression at Borussia-Park.
But, buoyed by the support he received at the weekend, Elber is predicting a fruitful partnership between player and club.
"It was absolutely fantastic what was happening in this great stadium when I stood on the touchline waiting to come on," the Brazilian told the club's official website.
"I have yet to do anything for Borussia but I still got this amazing reception.
"I'm now more determined than ever to work as hard as I possibly can and I'm sure the club and I are going to have a lot of fun together."
