Borussia Monchengladbach striker Giovane Elber has agreed a move to Brazilian outfit Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte.
The 33-year-old former Stuttgart and Bayern Munich star agreed to the cancellation of his contract at Borussia Park earlier this month after differences of opinion over his fitness with Foals coach Horst Koppel
He will now continue his career in his homeland after spending 14 years in Europe.
"It will be a great challenge for me trying to win titles with Cruzeiro as I have done in Europe, and above all in Germany," he told Bild.
Elber, who is the Bundesliga's most successful foreign import after scoring 133 top-flight goals, has put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal with an option for a further season.
