Feyenoord playmaker Luigi Bruins is reportedly on the verge of joining ADO Den Haag, and his agent acknowledges that a loan move could be beneficial.
The 22-year-old has been unable to force his way into the first-team plans of manager Mario Been at DeKuip this season.
Bruins' representative, Sietje Mouch, believes Been wants to keep his squad intact as hopes of the Eredivisie title remain despite a 10-point deficit to leaders FC Twente.
But rumours of Bruins' switch to struggling ADO are gathering pace and, while Mouch insists his client would happily stay at Feyenoord, it is admitted that he wants more on-field opportunities.
"Luigi desperately wants to succeed at Feyenoord and he has the quality to do so," Mouch told Sportweek.
"He needs to up his game if he is to make it at Feyenoord, though, and he knows that.
"We know that head coach Mario Been is eager to hold on to all his players in January.
"However, it is probably better for Luigi to leave on a loan deal if he does not get more first-team action after the winter break."
