El Hamdaoui looking forward to playing alongside Suarez

Ajax have finalised the signing of striker Mounir El Hamdaoui on a four-year contract from Eredivisie rivals AZ Alkmaar. El Hamdaoui had agreed a move to the Amsterdam Arena earlier in the week and has cost Ajax a fee in the region of €5million (£4.2m). The 26-year-old was top scorer in the Dutch league en route to AZ winning the title in 2009 and is likely to spearhead the Ajax attack alongside Luis Suarez this season. The Morocco international was also signed by Ajax coach Martin Jol for Tottenham five years ago and is looking forward to his new challenge. "Yes, the Ajax shirt feels good," El Hamdaoui told the club's official website. "I am pleased that the negotiations are behind us. Everyone knows that Ajax is a big club. "I look forward to working with Luis Suarez and playing together. I like to play with good players. "With Martin Jol, I have always had a good relationship."
