De Graafschap are hopeful of keeping Belgian forward Steve De Ridder at the club this summer, according to technical director Leen Looyen.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Dutch side, with Eredivisie rivals AZ Alkmaar and FC Utrecht thought to be chasing his signature.
However, Looyen claims there are no transfers in the offing for De Ridder, who has a year remaining on his current deal.
"I can just see him staying," Looyen told Omroep Gelderland.
"There are no concrete follow-up meetings planned and I've heard nothing more from the clubs who wanted him."
Despite his confidence over keeping the forward, Looyen admits contingency plans are in place should he choose to leave.
Club Brugge youngster Roy Meeus has been tipped as De Ridder's successor, and Looyen is not ruling out a move for the midfielder.
"We have just put him in the waiting room," he said. "There are also some other tools that we can fall back on."
