Garry Monk was appointed on an interim basis by Swansea last month following the sacking of Michael Laudrup, and Van Zweden has insisted that the club are happy with the work he is doing.
However, there remains uncertainty about the role in the long-term, and Koeman is understood to have made contact through his representative, Guido Albers, to register an interest.
The experienced Dutchman is currently in charge at Feyenoord but has already announced that he will be moving on at the end of the season.
Quoted in Voetbal International, Van Zweden said: "People logically link me with Swansea-related questions, but I don't decide about this sort of business.
"Albers indeed approached with the question of whether Koeman was a suitable candidate for Swansea.
"I passed on the number of the agent to Huw Jenkins and whether there has been any contact I really do not know. I know that the club is very pleased with Garry Monk."
Monk has been praised for Swansea's performances since he took charge but they remain just four points above the relegation zone.
"The club climbs up again, so there is no reason for a new coach," Van Zweden is reported as saying, adding: "Though it may change again if you lose three times in a row."
