Real Madrid continue to race ahead in La Liga while Inter Milan lose at home to rock-bottom Novara.

Real move 10 clear at top while Bordeaux edge Lille in nine-goal thriller

Real Madrid moved 10 points clear at the head of La Liga with their seventh straight victory, while in France third-place Lille suffered a 92nd minute wound as Bordeaux snatched three points. PSV Eindhoven found their way back to the summit in the Eredivisie after a 4-1 victory against De Graafschap while Inter Milan fell victim to a shock defeat by bottom side Novara in Serie A. Bundesliga strugglers Hamburg managed to find mid-table mediocrity with victory over Cologne while Scottish Premier League leaders Celtic secured a 1-0 win despite being reduced to ten men.
Primera Liga
Cristiano Ronaldo scored his sixth hat-trick of the season as Real Madrid came from behind to beat Levante. The visitors took the lead after just five minutes through Gustavo Cabral before Ronaldo opened his account on the stoke of half-time from the penalty spot. Meanwhile chasers Barcelona fell further behind as they were victims of a shock defeat to Osasuna, losing 3-2. Fifth-placed Espanyol lost ground as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Real Zaragoza, giving the side their first win since October. Meanwhile Valencia kept themselves only eight points behind Barcelona in third with a thumping 4-0 victory over Sporting Gijon.
Serie A
AC Milan hit the Serie A summit with a 2-1 victory away at title rivals Udinese. Inter Milan's campaign suffered a further blow as rock-bottom Novara beat Claudio Ranieri's side leaving them in fifth, some 11 points behind the league leaders. Juventus missed the opportunity to take top spot off the San Siro side, but not through any fault of their own as the clash with Bologna was postponed. At the opposite end Lecce continued their fight to pull out of the relegation zone by picking up a point against Atalanta, with two points now the difference between safety and the drop zone.
Bundesliga
Borussia Dortmund continue to set the Bundesliga pace with victory over Bayer Leverkusen while Bayern Munich stay hot on their heels with another win and Borussia Monchengladbach stormed to a 3-0 home success over Schalke. Meanwhile spotlight was on the foot of the table in the German top-flight as Hamburg managed to pull themselves out of the relegation battle and into mid-table. Paolo Guerrero's goal at Cologne meant Hamburg were able to establish some peace in the camp as fellow strugglers Augsburg failed to pick up three points. A Bavarian derby produced no goals as Nurnberg held Augsburg 0-0 which will be of little help to either side with both battling against the dreaded drop.
Ligue 1
In the French top flight the game of the week undoubtedly had to be the match-up between Bordeaux and Lille which saw nine goals scored. The home side squandered a 4-1 advantage to allow third-place Lille hope in the game and the visitors would be forgiven for thinking they had rescued a point with an 89th minute equaliser. However, Ludovic Obraniak stepped up in the 92nd minute to ensure the epic encounter was not ended without a winner taking the spoils. Elsewhere league leaders Paris St Germain were denied victory for the first time in Carlo Ancelotti's tenure as manager with Nice holding the top side in a goalless draw.
Eredivisie
PSV Eindhoven found themselves back at the head of the Dutch table thanks to a 4-1 victory over De Graafschap. AZ Alkmaar momentarily reached the summit with a 2-0 win over Excelsior but PSV retained top spot by virtue of goal difference. The chasing pack continued in their pursuit of the league leaders with Feyenoord registering three points to move five behind while Heerenveen kept the same distance having managed to cling onto a 1-0 win against 10-man RKC Waalwijk.
Scottish Premier League
Celtic maintained their four-point lead over Rangers in the SPL as Joe Ledley scored the only goal in the Hoops' clash with Inverness. In Neil Lennon's 100th game in charge of Celtic his side held on to their advantage despite being reduced to ten men when Daniel Majstorovic saw red. Gers continued in their attempt to put pressure on the league leaders with an emphatic 4-1 victory against Dunfermline. Ally McCoist's men were in dominance throughout and it paid dividends when David Healy opened the Rangers account before Lee McCulloch added to the tally, with a stunning Sone Aluko strike netting the third only for substitute Salim Kerkar to inflict more misery on Dunfermline's weekend.
Best of the rest
In the Greek Super League Panathinaikos maintained their two-point lead at the top of the table with a 3-0 victory over Xanthi while second-place Olympiakos kept the pressure on as they also registered three points. Anderlecht remain top of the pile in Belgium with a seven-point advantage after they beat Standard Liege 2-1. Meanwhile Galatasaray still hold a six-point lead in Turkey after a first-half Felipe Melo goal gave them three points at home against Kayserispor.
