Real Madrid moved 10 points clear at the head of La Liga with their seventh straight victory, while in France third-place Lille suffered a 92nd minute wound as Bordeaux snatched three points.

The visitors took the lead after just five minutes through Gustavo Cabral before Ronaldo opened his account on the stoke of half-time from the penalty spot.
Meanwhile chasers Barcelona fell further behind as they were victims of a shock defeat to Osasuna, losing 3-2.
Fifth-placed Espanyol lost ground as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Real Zaragoza, giving the side their first win since October.

Inter Milan's campaign suffered a further blow as rock-bottom Novara beat Claudio Ranieri's side leaving them in fifth, some 11 points behind the league leaders.
Juventus missed the opportunity to take top spot off the San Siro side, but not through any fault of their own as the clash with Bologna was postponed.
At the opposite end Lecce continued their fight to pull out of the relegation zone by picking up a point against Atalanta, with two points now the difference between safety and the drop zone.

Borussia Dortmund continue to set the Bundesliga pace with victory over Bayer Leverkusen while Bayern Munich stay hot on their heels with another win and Borussia Monchengladbach stormed to a 3-0 home success over Schalke.
Meanwhile spotlight was on the foot of the table in the German top-flight as Hamburg managed to pull themselves out of the relegation battle and into mid-table.
Paolo Guerrero's goal at Cologne meant Hamburg were able to establish some peace in the camp as fellow strugglers Augsburg failed to pick up three points.
A Bavarian derby produced no goals as Nurnberg held Augsburg 0-0 which will be of little help to either side with both battling against the dreaded drop.

In the French top flight the game of the week undoubtedly had to be the match-up between Bordeaux and Lille which saw nine goals scored.
The home side squandered a 4-1 advantage to allow third-place Lille hope in the game and the visitors would be forgiven for thinking they had rescued a point with an 89th minute equaliser.

Celtic maintained their four-point lead over Rangers in the SPL as Joe Ledley scored the only goal in the Hoops' clash with Inverness.
In Neil Lennon's 100th game in charge of Celtic his side held on to their advantage despite being reduced to ten men when Daniel Majstorovic saw red.
Gers continued in their attempt to put pressure on the league leaders with an emphatic 4-1 victory against Dunfermline.
Ally McCoist's men were in dominance throughout and it paid dividends when David Healy opened the Rangers account before Lee McCulloch added to the tally, with a stunning Sone Aluko strike netting the third only for substitute Salim Kerkar to inflict more misery on Dunfermline's weekend.
