PSV appear to be making serene progress towards the title and thumped De Graafschap on Saturday, but AZ are determined to keep them honest and secured the three points on Sunday.
Martijn Meerdink gave AZ the lead with a fine strike on 17 minutes and Ali Elkhattabi (pictured) sealed the victory with a goal 15 minutes from time.
Feyenoord left it late before securing the points at home to NEC Nijmegen.

Darl Douglas thought he had pinched a point for Utrecht when cancelling out Nicky Hofs' effort with five minutes remaining, but he had not counted on Jansen popping up in the dying embers of the game.
