Ajax cruise to win

AJAX cut PSV Eindhoven`s lead to two points with a convincing win at Willem II, while Feyenoord were made to work hard for victory over Twente.

Ronald Koeman was looking for a perfect start to the second half of the season and his Ajax charges did not disappoint as they cruised to a 6-0 win at Willem.

Andy van der Meyde started the rout with a strike on eight minutes, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic netting the first of his two goals shortly afterwards.

A Cristian Chivu penalty made it 3-0 at the interval, with Tomas Galasek, Ibrahimovic and Mido completing the scoring with second-half strikes.

Bonaventure Kalou netted a brace of goals as Feyenoord were made to battle for three home points by Twente.

Kalou fired Feyenoord in front on ten minutes, but Jurgen Cavens levelled the scores shortly afterwards.

Two goals in four minutes by Kalou and Thomas Buffel gave Feyenoord a cushion, but Simon Cziommer made them sweat with a strike for Twente on 72 minutes.

The home side weathered the storm and Robin van Persie netted late in the game to give Feyenoord a 4-2 win.

RKC Waalwijk continue to push a for a European place and Jochen Janssen`s effort on 69 minutes gave them victory over struggling Groningen.
