Feyenoord kept their hopes of snatching second place alive with a win at Groningen.Feyenoord and Ajax secured wins over Groningen and De Graafschap respectively on Sunday, as the fight for second place continues.
PSV Eindhoven clinched the title on Saturday, meaning the focus of attention in De Eredivisie switched to who will secure the other UEFA Champions League spot.
Ajax are in pole position, but there is still plenty to play for and Ruud Gullit's side kept up the chase with a win at Groningen.
Andre Bahia netted the opener on 35 minutes, but Feyenoord had to wait until late on to secure the points - with former Vitesse Arnhem man Nicky Hofs netting on 85 minutes.
Ajax answered Feyenoord's call later in the day, but they needed a late strike from Yannis Anastasiou to secure victory over struggling De Graafschap.
Willem II produced a fine display to claim a 2-1 win at NAC Breda.
The visitors started the game in fine fashion as Tom Caluwe put them ahead on two minutes, but they were pegged back moments before the break when Anthony Lurling levelled the scores.
Willem II came out strongly after the break and Iwan Redan netted what proved to be the winner shortly before the hour.
Den Bosch are desperately fighting to avoid the drop and a last minute goal from Charlie van den Ouweland earned them a 2-2 draw at NEC Nijmegen.
Twente Enschede were another side to claim a 2-2 away draw with a last minute goal, with the prolific Blaise N'Kufo their successful marksman in the draw at Utrecht.
