Ajax boss Danny Blind is ready to offer striker Yannis Anastasiou a new deal.The 32-year-old was informed a couple of months ago that his contract would not be renewed in the summer, with Blind feeling the Greek had passed his sell-by date.
Anastasiou knuckled down and impressed Blind with his commitment, which is rumoured to have earned a stay of execution in Amsterdam.
It is believed that Blind will hand the 32-year-old striker a season-long deal, as the coach believes his experience can help bring on some of the younger members of his squad.
