Willem II are keen to retain the services of Maikel Aerts, Cristiano and Rydell Poepon, but feel they will need to secure some financial backing in the summer in order to do so.
The trio are on loan at Willem II from Feyenoord, Basel and Ajax respectively and have made positive impressions on club officials.
Poepon's future is entirely dependent on Ajax, but the club would like to secure another season-long loan, while Willem II have the option to sign Aerts and Cristiano in the summer.
"It is our intention to continue with the largest part of this selection," chairman Hans Verbunt told Brabants Dagblad. "A couple of players will leave, among them Zsombor Kerekes.
"But we are satisfied with the players we have attracted and we are looking into the possibility of continuing.
"What will happen with Rydell Poepon is up to Ajax. We would like to loan him for one more year.
"To keep Aerts and Cristiano we have to appeal to external financiers.
"Currently we have already got a deficit of between é¼700.000 and é¼1million that is being covered by them.
"Of course that is not an ideal situation. To really make steps Willem II need the Tilburg business."
