Gaston Pereiro was PSV Eindhoven's hero as he scored twice in a 2-1 win against previously-unbeaten Eredivisie leaders Ajax at the Amsterdam ArenA.

It took the Uruguayan forward just seven minutes to open the scoring. He played a neat one-two with Jurgen Locadia before jinking into the box and slamming the ball into the roof of the net.

Their joy was short-lived, however, as Ajax equalised three minutes later through Amin Younes' first Eredivisie goal - a neat curling effort from the left of the area.

It was Pereiro's day, though, and his well-taken second into the bottom corner in the 79th minute proved to be the winner as Ajax stay top on goal difference alone.

Feyenoord moved up to second, level on points with Ajax, following a 2-1 win at De Graafschap.

Sven van Beek diverted an Erik Quekel shot past his own goalkeeper as De Graafschap took a 14th-minute lead.
