PSV Eindhoven hit back from two goals down to win 3-2 at AZ Alkmaar and extend their lead at the top of Eredivisie to 10 points.

Wout Weghorst struck twice early in the second half to put in-form Alkmaar in control, but Gaston Pereiro and Hirving Lozano scored in quick succession to haul PSV level and Marco van Ginkel's penalty clinched it.

The home side, who had won five of their previous six games to climb up to third in the table, were reduced to 10 men in the closing stages when Ron Vlaar was shown a straight red card for his foul on Lozano.

It was also Vlaar's challenge on Luuk de Jong which led to Van Ginkel's penalty as PSV secured their fifth win in six matches.

Roda JC gave their survival hopes another big boost as they beat PEC Zwolle 3-2 at home for their third straight win.

Early goals from Donis Avdijaj and Simon Gustafson put Roda in control and although Younes Namli and Queensy Menig hauled the visitors level, Mikhail Rosheuvel fired the home side's late winner.

Robert Muhren's double, including a last-minute winner, secured second-bottom Sparta Rotterdam a 3-2 home win against VVV Venlo.

Defender Angelino struck his fourth goal of the season with a fine free-kick to clinch Breda their third win in five matches. Vitesse have won only one of their last seven.
