PSV close gap on Ajax

Yugoslav striker Mateja Kezman put the home side on their way with the opener after 18 minutes and a brace from his strike partner Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink (29, 38) put PSV in firm control.
Danish star Dennis Rommedahl hit the fourth for PSV a minute before the break to finish the game before half time.
The only sour note for the home side was the sending-off of Kevin Hofland after 61 minutes and three minutes later Edrisson Sonko pulled one back for the visitors.
Heerenveen kept pace with the leading pack with a comfortable 2-0 victory over RKC Waalwijk.
Stefan Selakovic broke the deadlock for the home side three minutes into the second half and RKC's hopes fell when Roger Molhoek was sent-off after 55 minutes.
The home side made their numerical advantage count when Anthony Lurling hit the second just two minutes later.
Vitesse continued their pursuit of the leaders with a 2-0 win over Twente Enschede.
Dejan Stefanovic opened the scoring for the hosts after 76 minutes and Gert Claessens wrapped up the win with the second a minute from time.
NAC Breda maintained their European hopes with an impressive 2-1 win at Den Bosch.
Mark Schenning fired the visitors in front after 36 minutes and American international Earnie Stewart doubled the lead just after the hour mark.
Fred van der Hoorn pulled one back for the home side ten minutes from time but Breda held on for all three points.
FC Groningen climbed out of the bottom three with a 1-0 win at Fortuna Sittard in their relegation battle.
Jordi Hoogstrate hit the only goal of the game after 28 minutes to condemn Fortuna to another defeat which leaves 15 points adrift of safety.
