Adil Ramzi (pictured) prodded home from close range, and China had no answer to PSV`s slick passing play.
It is no shame losing to a crack European club outfit, but China coach Bora Milutinovic will be worried by the fact that his side have now gone three games without a goal.
China toiled for the most part, but it could have been different had Qu Bo`s chip drifted into the net rather than onto the bar in the first minute.
It took 15 minutes for PSV to make the breakthrough, with John De Jong`s run and shot forcing Jiang Jin to parry the ball and Ramzi was on hand to stab home.
In Mark van Bomel, PSV had clearly the best individual on show and he orchestrated play from the middle of the park.
China failed to test PSV, and Milutinovic will hope his side put up a better show when they take on Costa Rica in their World Cup opener on June 4.
