NAC land Lurling

NAC Breda have swooped to sign Anthony Lurling from Feyenoord.

NAC Breda have swooped to sign Anthony Lurling from Feyenoord after Vitesse Arnhem were forced to pull out of the race.

Lurling seemed set to secure a loan move to the Gelredome after Vitesse agreed a deal with Feyenoord, but the Arnhem club were forced to shelve their plans due to their financial troubles.

This allowed other interested parties to step in and NAC have won the chase for the 27-year-old winger.

Lurling does not figure in the plans of Feyenoord coach Ruud Gullit and will look to breathe new life into his career in Breda.

NAC, meanwhile, are still being frustrated in their efforts to sign Jurgen Colin from PSV Eindhoven.

A deal appeared to have been struck on Monday, but a stumbling block emerged when talk centred on turning the likely loan move into a permanent agreement.

NAC have now announced that they will not attempt to secure an option to buy, although they are still talking about a loan move.
