PSV moved five points clear in De Eredivisie after a 3-0 home win over Groningen.PSV Eindhoven moved five points clear at the top of De Eredivisie after a comprehensive 3-0 home win over Groningen.
The hosts had the game virtually sewn up by half-time thanks to an early own goal from Kurt Elshot, and a second from American international DaMarcus Beasley (pictured) on 32 minutes.
John de Jong put the gloss on the scoreline midway through the second period as Guus Hiddink's men cruised to victory.
NAC Breda overcame De Graafschap 3-2, while Willem II beat Vitesse Arnhem by the same score.
Yuri Cornelisse, Ali Boussaban and Rob Penders were on target for NAC to make sure Loic Laval's double for De Graafschap did not matter.
Former Ipswich Town star Martijn Reuser grabbed a first-half hat-trick for Willem II, two of which were penalties.
Nicky Hofs and Igor Gluscevic replied late on for Vitesse but the hosts held on for victory.
Roda JC also enjoyed a 3-2 win after coming from behind to see off Twente Enschede.
Blaise N'Kofo opened the scoring for Twente after just eight minutes, but goals from Sergio and Cristiano put Roda ahead at the interval.
Gregoor van Dijk's penalty gave them a two goal cushion and ensured N'Kofo's second (also a penalty) was no more than a consolation.
