PSV find themselves without youngster Jefferson Farfan as the league resumes.As De Eredivisie gears up for the resumption of hostilities following the winter break, PSV Eindhoven may find themselves without exciting youngster Jefferson Farfan.
The Peruvian forward is struggling with chicken pox and will miss the home game against NAC Breda on January 22, despite original estimates of only two weeks on the sidelines.
The 20-year-old has made a big impression in his time in Holland, impressing in the UEFA Champions League as well as domestically, and his absence will be a blow as the Eindhoven outfit look to reclaim top spot from surprise leaders AZ Alkmaar.
Due to his illness Farfan did not join the rest of the squad in their winter training camp in the United Arab Emirates.
In Abu Dhabi young prospect Ibrahim Afellay has joined his team-mate on the injury list after breaking a toe on his left foot, although veteran midfielder Philip Cocu has returned to training following an illness.
The Dutch club are still trying to arrange a friendly match with German giants Bayern Munich, who are currently staying in Dubai.
