Wilfred Bouma and Theo Lucius are expected to remain with PSV Eindhoven.
Reports in Holland suggest that Wilfred Bouma and Theo Lucius will remain with PSV Eindhoven, despite English interest.
PSV refused to comment on the availability of Lucius but did confirm that Bouma has a minimum fee release clause written into his contract.
An unnamed Premiership side were able to meet that valuation but talks broke down after the club were unable to meet the Dutchman's financial demands.
The defensive duo were an integral part of PSV's progress to the semi-finals of last season's UEFA Champions League and coach Guus Hiddink will be delighted to retain their services.
However, PSV still expect South Korean international Lee Young-Pyo to leave the Philips Stadion before the close of the transfer window.
