Peruvian forward Jefferson Farfan has committed his future to PSV Eindhoven by signing a one-year extension at the Philips Stadion.
The talented attacker had been linked with a summer move to Barcelona, Hamburg or Chelsea after a stunning season in which he scored 21 league goals in De Eredivisie.
The Dutch champions have now rewarded their livewire youngster, and warded off interest from all over Europe, by clinching an extension until 2010.
Farfan follows goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes and midfielder Philip Cocu in committing his future to the Eindhoven outfit.
PSV have also announced that Edward Sturing has been appointed as the new head of their youth academy.
The former Vitesse boss has been handed a two year deal and will be expected to produce promising young talents for the champions.
Sturing, speaking on the PSV official website, described the job as: "A huge challenge.
"I will be on the pitch between the players a lot, that is what I want and what they expect from me," he added.
