Depay scores from 35 yards to open scoring for PSV

Watch as Memphis Depay shows Manchester United fans what they can expect with a superb long-range free-kick for PSV Eindhoven.

It was announced on Thursday that the 21-year-old Dutch international will be leaving the Eredivisie for Old Trafford in the summer.

Depay has been with PSV since the age of 12 and fans showed their appreciation for him in the last home game of the season on Sunday by unveiling a banner that said 'thank you and good luck'.

The departing foward then marked the occasion in style by opening the scoring against Heracles with a brilliant free-kick from 35 yards.

Jetro Willems made sure of victory for the champions as he netted the second goal shortly after half-time.

Speaking after the game, Depay confirmed that it was a last minute phone call from Louis van Gaal that convinced him to choose United ahead of Paris St Germain.

He said: "It was really close with PSG, but at the last moment that changed. Manchester United were always interested but it was not concrete. But I then received a call from Louis van Gaal. It was a difficult situation but after I spoke with Van Gaal I said to myself 'I want to go to Manchester'. I am really proud and I believe I can be a big player for Manchester."
