Feyenoord maintained their perfect start to the Eredivisie season with a 5-0 victory over struggling Roda JC 5-0 on Sunday.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men secured a seventh straight league win to restore a five-point lead over Ajax and PSV Eindhoven, who had both won on Saturday.

Danish forward Nicolai Jorgensen bundled the ball in to give Feyenoord the lead after 25 minutes, and a neat finish into the top-right corner from Moroccan midfielder Karim El Ahmadi doubled the advantage 10 minutes before half-time.

Roda, who are now second bottom of the table and without a win from their seven league matches, were eventually undone again late on.

Jorgensen tapped home a third with seven minutes left before midfielder Jens Toornstra crashed in an angled volley after 88 minutes and defender Terence Kongolo headed home a fifth in stoppage time.

FC Twente moved into the top six after a 2-1 home win over Vitesse Arnhem.

On-loan Manchester City forward Enes Unal put Twente ahead on 16 minutes for his fifth goal of the season, before Bersant Celina made sure of all three points with five minutes left. Celina is another Manchester City youngster enjoying a loan spell in Holland.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Utrecht got their first Eredivisie win of the campaign with a 2-0 home victory against Sparta Rotterdam. It came thanks to an early goal from Richairo Zivkovic after just three minutes and a late second from Nacer Barazite in the 80th minute.

NEC Nijmegen and Willem II played out a goalless draw.
